Acevedo is transferred to the state prison system

Disgraced former Keys schools administrator Monique Acevedo has formally entered Florida's prison system. Tuesday night, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office took Acevedo, 42, to the South Florida Reception Center in Doral. From there, she was likely transferred to the Broward Correctional Institute in Fort Lauderdale, where females are transitioned into the prison system.
